Hereford have signed highly-rated youngster Sam Hewson on a three-month loan deal from Manchester United.

The creative central midfielder, 20, comes with a promising reputation from the Red Devils and was even handed a first-team squad number at the start of this season.

Defender Josh Gowling has also extended his loan stay at Edgar Street, penning a new one-month extension from Carlisle.

In what was expected to be a busy month in the transfer market for Hereford, manager Graham Turner has not disappointed with several more comings and goings at the club.

Striker Andy Williams has returned on loan from Bristol Rovers for the rest of the season after previously spending three months with the League One strugglers.

Meanwhile, defender Robbie Threlfall has rejoined parent club Liverpool and all but sealed another loan move to Stockport, goalkeeper Darren Randolph has returned to Charlton and striker Moses Ashikodi has gone back to Watford.
