Iron look at Trotter

Scunthorpe have taken Ipswich midfielder Liam Trotter on trial.

The 20-year-old has just ended a successful loan spell with League Two strugglers Grimsby and will be training with the Iron over a couple of days.

Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has stated that the move is not with a view to a transfer at this stage but the midfielder is out of contract at Portman Road this summer.
