Rookie Preston winger Danny Mayor has joined League One promotion-chasers Tranmere on a one-month loan deal.
The 18-year old signed his first professional contract with Preston in December and has impressed in their reserve side this season.
Rovers boss Ronnie Moore said: "I've watched Danny on several occasions, including our reserve match against Preston last week when he was outstanding."
He added: "He's a hard working winger who can go past people and has a trick up his sleeve.
"I'd like to thank Preston manager Alan Irvine for allowing him to come to us for a month."
