Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd has strengthened his injury-ravaged side by re-signing former defender Darren Ward and goalkeeper Mark Tyler.

Ward, 30, made 60 appearances for the Hornets as a youngster 11 years ago and has arrived at Vicarage Road on an initial month from Coca-Cola Championship rivals Wolves.

The centre back has made just one appearance for the Molineux outfit this season but has played for a host of London clubs in his career, including Millwall, QPR and Crystal Palace.

Tyler, 31, has also arrived for a month from League One Peterborough, providing cover for first-choice stopper Richard Lee after Scott Loach and Mart Poom suffered injuries.

Meanwhile, loanee Sam Sodje has returned to Reading after aggravating a knee problem in Saturday's debut against Sheffield United.
