Lee Hendrie has been banned for four matches and fined £3,500 for verbally abusing referee Mike Dean at the end of last month's Championship play-off final.

The Blades midfielder admitted a charge of improper conduct relating to "his language and behaviour" towards Dean when given his marching orders after the final whistle at Wembley where Burnley triumphed 1-0.

The Football Association added an extra match to his suspension at a hearing this week and the 32-year-old will now miss the first four matches of the 2009/10 season.
