Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso has left Ashton Gate after his contract was cancelled.

The Brazilian was placed on the transfer list earlier this season after he rejected a new contract and has made just four appearances for the Robins this term. He is now free to find a new club after nearly five years with City.

Chairman Steve Lansdown told the club's official website: "Adriano has been a great servant to the club over the last few years and was a key part in our promotion in 2007."

He added: "I'd like to place on record my thanks to Adriano for his service and wish him well for the future."
