Anthony Stokes is aiming to fire Crystal Palace into play-off contention during his loan spell at Selhurst Park.

The Sunderland striker has signed on loan for Neil Warnock's side until the end of the season.

"I came here to help Crystal Palace as much as I can," said the former Arsenal youngster.

"I've only spoken to the manager two or three times, but he seems like a livewire, so it should be interesting."

Stokes, 20, made an outstanding first impression in his full Palace debut on Saturday with a goal that helped earn a 2-1 win over Preston.
