Blackpool boss Ian Holloway will be without a handful of players when his side host Reading.

Defender Rob Edwards is suspended after being sent off for the second time this year in Tuesday's 2-0 home win over Middlesbrough.

Danny Coid (hamstring), Daniel Nardiello (groin), Neal Eardley (knee) and Billy Clarke (knee) all remain sidelined through injury.

The Seasiders are in buoyant mood after ending a run of three successive defeats with victory over Boro in midweek.

Holloway has now challenged his men to continue their push for a coveted play-off spot with victory against the lowly Royals.

He said: "We need to keep going if we're going to have a good season and that's what I've been saying all along."

Reading could have captain Ivar Ingimarsson back in the starting line-up.

Ingimarsson, 32, was rested by manager Brian McDermott for the midweek trip to take on Crystal Palace and saw his team-mates pick up a vital 3-1 win at Selhurst Park.

That was the Royals` fourth straight league win under McDermott and lifted them above Ipswich and out of the Championship relegation zone.

Striker Shane Long will be absent as he serves the of a four-game ban but replacement Simon Church will continue to lead the line after firing a brace at Palace.

Marek Matejovsky (abdomen) and Noel Hunt (knee) remain sidelined but Gylfi Sigurdsson made a return from a foot injury as a substitute at Selhurst Park and may come into the starting XI.
