Blades beat Crewe

By PA Sport  August 29, 2005
Sheffield United held on to top spot in the Coca-Cola Championship table as their 3-1 win at Crewe made it five victories from six for the Blades.

Neil Shipperley was alert to steer the ball home from close range following a 15th-minute corner but a rare error from United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny allowed Steve Foster to head home an Alex equaliser two minutes later.

Alan Quinn supplied an excellent finish to give Neil Warnock´s men the lead again (50) and six minutes later Steve Kabba volleyed in a third when Phil Jagielka headed Keith Gillespie´s cross back into the danger zone.
