Cardiff have made an impressive start to the campaign and remain unbeaten after the first six games of the Championship season. Last night's hard-fought 1-0 victory at Barnsley saw the Bluebirds climb into the top six and manager Dave Jones has been speaking about his 'pride' in his team's display at Oakwell.Cardiff took maximum points thanks to a 15th minute strike from Peter Whittingham and Jones said: "There was pride in our dressing room and that shone through in our performance. We are unbeaten in six Championship matches and have kept three consecutive clean sheets."We feel we should have earned at least two more points so far, but we will keep playing our football and believing in each other. This is a fantastic bunch of players to work with and there is great camaraderie within the squad."In sharp contrast, Barnsley boss Simon Davey bore the brunt of the homes fans' frustration during his side's fifth defeat from six this season, and the Welshman said: "That doesn't help, but they pay their money and are entitled to have their say."I am the same manager who took Barnsley to the semi final of the FA Cup against Cardiff last season. We will keep working to put things right and I might make changes to the team."Returning to news from the Cardiff camp, Jones revealed their was an altercation between him and Wales manager John Toshack at the club's training ground on Friday, reportedly over midfielder Paul Parry’s recent decision to retire from international football. However, although he refused to divulge the details of the row, Jones did admit he had regrets over the way the dispute ended in an angry exchange of words. Jones said: "You are always going to have arguments and fall-outs in football. It will happen time and time again with managers, players and coaches – but now this is done and dusted."You always regret arguments, I regret arguments whether it’s with my wife of anybody. Whatever's been said or done we can't take it back or recall any of it, but both of us have jobs to do and I'll get on with mine and I’m sure John will get on with his. We didn't finish on the best of terms but is that going to stop either of us from speaking? We're both bigger than that. There is no issue after what happened."Is it going to hinder John Toshack picking my players? No. Is it going to stop me from letting my players go off with Wales? No. As far as we're concerned it is done and dusted and we move on, there's a line drawn under and it's dead."Jones continued: "Football players fall out, football managers fall out, and in football it's too short to look further than that. When managers argue on the touchline they'll have a drink afterwards and everything is fine. People will blow it out of proportion but, like I said, there are still two sides to the story."
