Blues relegated after stalemate

By PA Sport  April 29, 2006
Birmingham were left despondent as their four-season stint in the Barclays Premiership came to an end in front of their home fans with a goalless draw against Newcastle.

They did manage to secure a point but it was not enough with Portsmouth winning at Wigan.

Birmingham had the majority of possession on the day Michael Owen made his comeback for the visitors but lacked a cutting edge.
