Bristol City manager Gary Johnson has ruled out a move for Watford full-back Jon Harley.

Johnson made an enquiry for the former Chelsea man but ended his interest in the 30-year-old, who can also operate in midfield, after signing Jamal Campbell-Ryce from Barnsley.

"He was on our list and we did ask about him, but since we've signed Jamal there's nothing there now." Johnson told the club's official website.

"I think that's probably Jon's agent or representatives making others aware of his availability."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has returned to Ashton Gate after training with Wycombe this week.

Chairboys boss Gary Waddock could not guarantee the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international a starting berth, so Johnson felt a loan move was not in the player's interests.
