Bristol City are hoping to welcome back Nicky Maynard for the home clash against Doncaster.
The striker was ruled out of last weekend's goalless draw against Ipswich due to a thigh problem but, after netting twice for the reserves in midweek, he could regain his place in the starting line-up.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Ivan Sproule also featured in the second string clash against Swansea and are likely to be involved in some capacity.
But Marvin Elliott and Evander Sno will play no part at Ashton Gate.
Sno could face another fortnight on the sidelines as he continues to battle against a back problem while Elliott will sit out a couple of weeks with a knee injury.
Brian Wilson, Jamie McCombe and Jamie McAllister continue to struggle with their respective injury problems.
Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll will be without skipper Brian Stock again.
Stock sat out last week's home draw with Crystal Palace due to a back injury, which could jeopardise his participation for the rest of the season.
Manager Sean O'Driscoll will also be without a trio of central defenders, with Shelton Martis (hamstring), Adam Lockwood (foot) and Jason Shackell (groin) all still sidelined.
Midfielder Martin Woods (groin) is still out, but the Scot could return to the squad in time for the home clash with Derby the following weekend.
Rovers latest signing, teenager Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, who arrived on loan from Arsenal last week, could play a more prominent role for O'Driscoll's side after stepping off the substitutes' bench in the second half against Palace.
