Nicky Butt has spelt out his determination to ensure he stays at Birmingham on a permanent basis by keeping them in the Barclays Premiership.Former England midfielder Butt is spending the season at St Andrews on loan after an injury-hit first year at Newcastle United. If City survive in the top flight, a clause in the loan deal could be activated which allows 30-year-old Butt a permanent deal with Steve Bruce´s side.Butt said: "I would definitely like to stop here. I have enjoyed myself and there are a great bunch of lads at the club who work hard. The coaches and management are good and I am happy. If we can kick on, get up the table and the manager decides to keep me at the end of the season, then all well and good. I was happy to come to Birmingham and it still feels like the right move."
