Norwich manager Bryan Gunn insists his side can still get out of trouble despite failing to make the most of their strengths following a 2-0 defeat at Blackpool.

Brett Ormerod netted his 100th league goal to put Blackpool in front after 55 minutes before Charlie Adam's deft chip sealed all three points for the Seasiders and left Norwich deep in the relegation mire.

Gunn said: "I thought we had a couple of chances in the first half where I thought our extra height would give us an advantage particularly at the set-pieces."

He added: "I didn't read the riot act at half-time because I thought a win was still there for the taking but we seemed to lose our spark.

"I don't know if their first goal was a cross or a shot but it did knock us back. I tried to make changes but things didn't work out.

"We have got some difficult games ahead but don't count us out. There are plenty of points at stake for the rest of the season."
