Preston defender Eddie Nolan believes his side have the ability to beat high-flying Cardiff on Saturday but knows anything other than victory will end their play-off hopes.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is confident North End can heap more pressure onto local rivals Burnley in the fight for a top-six finish.
"We are more than capable of winning this game - and then the two after that," Nolan told the Lancashire Evening Post. "It`s a must-win game for us."
He added: "If we can win on Saturday that will put more pressure on Burnley because they don't play until Monday night and by that time we could be just one point behind them and breathing down their necks."
