The time has come to cast your votes for the PFA November Championship Fans’ Player of the Month award, and here are some of the players proving popular with givemefootball fans in the early stages of voting.

Darren Pratley and Jay Boothroyd

Welsh rivals Swansea and Cardiff fought out a five-goal thriller last weekend, with three of those goals coming from Swans’ midfielder Darren Pratley and the ever-consistent Bluebirds’ striker Jay Boothroyd.

Pratley grabbed a brace in his side’s memorable 3-2 derby victory and Swans’ boss Paulo Sousa was quick to praise the 24-year-old Barking-born player: “Darren had a great game – he showed everyone what he can do.

“There are still lots of things he needs to work on, but he is a player with a lot of potential.”

Andy Carroll

Newcastle striker Andy Carroll appears to be growing in confidence game-by-game and it is no surprise to see him being linked with a January move to a number of Premiership clubs.

His headed goal in the 3-1 victory against Peterborough last weekend means he has netted twice in his last three games to help the Magpies open up a two-point lead at the top of the table.

In sharp contrast to Newcastle, Ipswich are batting to climb out of the bottom three, but at least Roy Keane’s men have managed to lift themselves off the foot of the table with a couple of improved results in recent games.

Jonathan Stead

Like Carroll, Town striker Jonathan Stead has scored two in his last three matches to help kick-start the Tractor Boys’ campaign.
