Reading manager Steve Coppell is convinced there is still a chance Steve Sidwell will begin next season in a Royals shirt. The 24-year-old´s current deal expires in the summer and Coppell knows plenty of offers either have been, or will be, made by Premiership rivals boasting bigger budgets. But with players like Scott Parker and Shaun Wright-Phillips having seen their careers stall following big-money moves, Coppell is hopeful the former Arsenal trainee might opt to stay.Coppell said: "He knows our position. We would love him to sign but I don´t think it is for us now to persuade him to sign for us - it is for other teams to persuade him to sign with them."
