Steve Coppell last night hailed the patience of Reading chairman John Madejski following their relegation from the Barclays Premier League, insisting: "At any other club I would have been sacked."Coppell´s position was in doubt after the Royals went down on the final day of the season on goal difference, but he yesterday confirmed he will remain at the club for the second year of his current contract."I feel comfortable at Reading and I want to continue. When I do finish I want to finish on a better note," he said.
