Carl Cort went some way to answering Glenn Hoddle´s demand for goals with a hat-trick as Wolves returned to the Coca-Cola Championship´s top six.
Cort, one of the players under threat for a starting place, did all the damage as Wolves ran out 3-1 winners over Queens Park Rangers at Molinuex. But in between his second goal in the 24th minute and his third in injury time, his side again missed chances and offered QPR the hint of a welcome point.
"I´m delighted for Carl because he´s a good lad to work with and maybe there´s a hat-trick for Kenny Miller just round the corner as well," Hoddle said. "I thought Kenny was magnificent and Rohan Ricketts had his best game for the club. I´ve got to be pleased with the performance, although we could have had five quite easily and the game should have been sewn up earlier."
