Marcus Hall's second spell at Coventry will come to an end this summer after manager Chris Coleman revealed the long-serving defender has not been offered a new contract.
Hall celebrated his testimonial with a pre-season game against Everton last summer but has seen his season hampered by injury and, with Coventry's defensive options currently looking strong, Coleman has been forced to make a tough decision.
"I spoke with Marcus on Wednesday and he won't be with us next season," said the City boss. "He's been a great servant for Coventry City and a terrific pro, he's really well respected and we all think a lot of him."
Coleman added: "But we think it's best we want to make a change, I think it would be best for Marcus as well to make a fresh start. He's had a difficult year."
Coventry-born Hall, who recently turned 34, started his professional career with the Sky Blues back in 1994 and enjoyed eight years with club before brief spells at Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Stoke then saw him return to the Ricoh Arena in 2005.
Speaking about City's other out-of-contract players, Coleman added: "You've got Clinton (Morrison), (Stephen) Wright, Dimi (Konstantopoulos), we are in discussions with their agents about next season and contracts."
