Derby manager Paul Jewell could be forced to dip into the loan market after losing Martin Albrechtsen and Dean Leacock for the Rams' next match against Plymouth.
The Pride Park club are facing a defensive crisis as Albrechtsen will be out for a month after a hernia operation, while Leacock is suspended.
Jewell told BBC Radio Derby: "It's not ideal but it's what a season in the Championship is all about, dealing with injuries and suspensions."
Welsh defender Lewin Nyatanga and Jamaican Claude Davis are both on international duty this weekend and Jewell is hoping they don't suffer any more injuries.
