Nigel Clough hopes Derby and Nottingham Forest will face no further sanctions from the Football Association following the mass melee at Pride Park.
The East Midlands rivals have been charged with failing to control their players towards the end of Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship clash but Clough hopes the FA will view the incident in the context in which it took place.GMF Video
Watch a deadline day transfer round-up "I know the FA want to clamp down on this kind of thing and I understand that but, at the same time, it's a derby game," the Rams manager said. "In local derbies supporters expect a few tackles flying in but when you analyse it there wasn't too much going off."
He added: "We committed 15 fouls, they committed 16. You see fouls in the twenties in normal games. And when you look at our disciplinary record over the last 12 months it has been very good indeed."
