Liam Dickinson's agent claims the Derby striker is close to joining Brighton.

The League One club have made an offer for the 23-year-old, who only moved to Pride Park from Stockport in a £750,000 deal last summer.

"There is strong interest from Brighton in Liam and talks are ongoing," said Dickinson's representative Phil Sproson.

"The two clubs are trying to agree a fee and I don't think they are too far apart.

"Liam wants to be playing regular first-team football and he knows his chances at Derby will be limited, so he is hoping a deal can be agreed with Brighton."
