Doyle wins PFA Fans' Award

By Dave Smith  December 03, 2008
Reading striker, Kevin Doyle, has won the PFA 2UP Fans' Player of the Month Award for Nov.  Fans’ favourite, Doyle, continues to show why manager Steve Coppell rates him so highly – and why the Royals were so keen to tie him down to the new, longer contract he signed recently.

Mick says of the Republic of Ireland international: “Kevin was signed for the princely sum of £75,000 and what a bargain he has turned out to be.

An outstanding striker, he has already scored 15 goals this season in assisting Reading’s quest to return to the Premier League.

He is undoubtably a striker of Premiership quality; his movement is superb, showing both pace and imagination in getting behind defenders. Also, his goalscoring ability is without question.”
