Reading duo Scott Davies and David Mooney have been advised by boss Brian McDermott that their careers may be better served elsewhere.
The pair are have not travelled with the Royals first team squad for their pre-season preparations in Slovakia and Croatia.
McDermott told the Crowthorne and Sandhurst Times: "I've had conversations with Scotty Davies and David Mooney. Sometimes when players like Scotty have been here a long time, they probably need to find where their career is going to be. David Mooney is the same."
