Crystal Palace have been handed a huge boost with injured trio Stern John, Freddie Sears and Claude Davis all returning to training.

John has been sidelined since he dislocated his elbow on the opening day of the season, fellow striker Sears suffered an ankle injury a month ago and defender Davis has yet to appear this term due to hamstring trouble and a virus.

"Stern, Freddie and Claude will all be making a return to training and we will look at involving them in a practice match," boss Neil Warnock told Palace's official website.

"It's only a match between ourselves but it's hugely encouraging we could have all three involved."

John, Sears and Davis will all hope to be available when Palace travel to Cardiff on Saturday.
