Arron Davies is one of four players that has been released by Nottingham Forest.

The winger has failed to make an impact since joining the club from Yeovil in 2007 in a joint move with Chris Cohen. He made 14 starts and 24 substitute appearances, scoring one goal.

The other players to be released from their contracts by manager Billy Davies are defenders Joe Heath and Aaron Mitchell and midfielder James Reid.

Davies had a loan spell at Brighton this season but returned early from the League One club after failing to impress new Albion boss Gus Poyet.

A statement on the club's official website said: "We would like to wish all four players every success in their futures."
