QPR have completed the signing of midfielder Nigel Quashie following his release from West Ham.

The 31-year-old former Scotland international returns to Rangers, his first club, almost 12 years after leaving Loftus Road to join Nottingham Forest.

"It's great to be back home, and I am delighted to be at a club that I love to pieces," said Quashie, who has signed until the end of the season.

He added: "I had a good time when I was here before, and the fans were very good to me. I'm a fan of the club myself so I know what they demand.

"There are some excellent players here and it is nice to come back and be a part of it.

"We've got a chance to get into the play-offs, and if we can do that and then get into the Premier League, the whole place will just take off."
