Birmingham midfielder Lee Bowyer believes the Blues are reaping the benefit of an increase in work rate.

Alex McLeish's side have won their last two games and Bowyer has noticed a definite change in his side's pressing since his arrival on loan from West Ham.

Bowyer said: "We are getting on top of teams and we're making them make mistakes high up the pitch."

He added: "We're not really letting them get out whereas when I first came, it was comfortable for them.

"We are working hard as a team and that is showing. There are no easy games in the run-in, but hopefully our experience will be to our advantage."
