Watford defender Lee Hodson has vowed to keep up the hard work after securing a new contract at Vicarage Road.

The 18-year-old has been one of the stars of the season after breaking into the first team earlier this term and has been rewarded for his performances with a three-year deal.

"That's what I've been aiming for," he said. "The pressure is now off me slightly as I've secured a contract for three years. But that does not mean the hard work stops.

"I've wanted to make the most of my chance in the first team and I think I've done that."
