New Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is relishing a return to QPR on the opening day of the Coca-Cola Championship season on August 8.

Holloway played for and managed Rangers and will hope for a positive result in the capital before successive home games against Cardiff and Derby on August 15 and 18 respectively.

"I knew I was going to play some of my ex-teams at certain times of the season, but it will be a great time to play them," he told his club's official website.

"Obviously they have a new manager (Jim Magilton) but like I said, I just can't wait to take the Tangerine army there and give it a right good go."

The former Plymouth and Leicester is hopeful of a good reception from the Rangers faithful, adding: "I won't get stick. I have been back there a few times now and I have always had a very good reception from them."
