Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt has revealed that he is looking for a move away from the club this summer.

The 27-year-old was linked with several Premier League clubs following the Royals' relegation from the top flight in 2008 but opted to stay at the Madejski Stadium. Everton are reported to be lining up a move for the Irishman and he admits he is looking for a fresh start after failing to gain promotion last season.

"My own situation is that I've been loyal to Reading, but in terms of my future, maybe a fresh start would be good for me and the club," Hunt told Sky Sports News.

"I think me and the club agree it is time for a fresh start," he added.

When asked about a potential move to Everton, Hunt added: "I don't know about that. I can't talk about other clubs."
