Ipswich have recalled defender Pim Balkestein from his loan at Brentford.
The Dutch centre-half recently extended his spell at Griffin Park to a second month and has made eight appearances for the west Londoners. But Ipswich boss Roy Keane has requested he returns to Portman Road to bolster his defensive options.
A Bees spokesman said: "We wish him every success in the future and would be pleased to welcome him back to Griffin Park at any time."
