Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies believes his side can take an enormous step to avoiding relegation with a win against Coventry.

If Forest claim victory at the City Ground on Saturday, they will temporarily move out of the drop zone - irrespective of other results - as relegation rivals Norwich play on Sunday.

"What we have got at this football club is winners and they have shown us that over the last number of weeks and games," Davies told the club's official website. "We've got to forget other results. With three games to go, it's in our own hands."

He added: "There have been very positive signs in the last eight or nine games - that's the pleasing thing from my point of view."
