Bristol City manager Gary Johnson is in the hunt for a new defender after seeing his side's errors punished by Doncaster in a 5-2 home defeat.

The Robins committed too many sloppy mistakes at the back and Rovers capitalised with a brace each for on-loan Arsenal striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Billy Sharp, while Bradley Orr, on target twice for City, also scored an own goal in the second half.

Johnson said: "I'd like to bring in a loan signing to cover for the injuries we have at the back, but it's easier said than done.

"The players will be working very hard on Sunday and Monday before our midweek trip to Crystal Palace."
