Birmingham midfielder Damien Johnson has slammed claims by radio commentator Alan Green that he got himself deliberately booked when playing for Northern Ireland against England to avoid travelling to Poland for Wednesday´s World Cup qualifier.Green was commentating for Radio 5 Live on last Saturday´s game at Old Trafford when Johnson was yellow carded in the 50th minute of his country´s 4-0 defeat - Green said on air that "an insider" had told him Johnson would get a booking so he would not have to make the trip to Warsaw.Fuming Blues boss Steve Bruce, who was listening to the broadcast at the time, has already written to Green and expressed his disappointment over his comments. And Johnson is equally upset that Green has made such accusations - which he strongly refutes.
