Diomansy Kamara has refused to rule out a permanent move to Leicester - but he wants to make a better impression if he returns.

The Fulham striker spent the final six weeks of the season on loan at the Walkers Stadium, scoring twice in seven appearances. Kamara's contract at Fulham expires in the summer and he is resigned to leaving Craven Cottage.

The 30-year-old has not ruled out a permanent move to Leicester and has vowed to contribute more if he does rejoin Sven-Goran Eriksson's side. He said: "I have enjoyed my time at Leicester but I am disappointed with my own performance because I know I can do much, much better."

He added: "If next season I come back, I will try to do much better than I did this season.

"It is a possibility. I am a free agent and I know we can have a strong squad next term and can go up. In the next couple of weeks we will see what happens.

"When you are a free agent you can get other options and opportunities. I have never played in France so maybe I will go and play in my own country."
