Leicester keeper Conrad Logan is resigned to returning to the bench for the visit of Championship promotion rivals Cardiff.
First-choice stopper Chris Weale will be fit despite needing five stitches in his nose following a collision with Sheffield Wednesday forward Marcus Tudgay during last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Hillsborough.
Logan replaced Weale after 31 minutes - it was his first competitive action for the Foxes since May 2007.
Boss Nigel Pearson is expected to include James Vaughan in his squad after signing the Everton striker on a month`s loan.
The loss to Wednesday ended an eight-game run without defeat, so the likes of Nicky Adams, Nolberto Solano, Steve Howard, Yann Kermorgant and Dany N`Guessan will be hoping for recalls as Pearson tries to get his team back to winning ways.
Cardiff boss Dave Jones is hopeful of including Peter Whittingham, Mark Kennedy and Stephen McPhail in his squad.
Midfielder Whittingham has been sidelined since limping out of the game against West Brom with a groin injury last month while Kennedy has been out nursing a calf injury.
McPhail has been sidelined with a rib injury sustained in the game against Peterborough over a month ago but all three are in contention to feature at the Walkers Stadium.
Striker Michael Chopra serves the first of a two-game ban for picking up his 10th yellow card of the season in the 2-0 defeat to Ipswich on Tuesday while captain Mark Hudson (ankle) and Joe Ledley (hip) are still sidelined and not expected to return to training until April.
Sixth-placed Cardiff have lost three of their last four league games and have been beaten in their last three on the road.
