Goalkeeper Josh Lillis has returned to Scunthorpe following a one-month loan spell with Grimsby.

The 22-year-old, who recently signed a new three-year contract with the Iron, made four appearances for the Mariners before regular keeper Nick Colgan returned to fitness.

But Lillis is pleased to have resolved his future with Scunthorpe and is eager to continue improving at Glanford Park, he said: "I'm just really happy to sign the contract. It's a great feeling."

He added: "It's good to have my future secured for the next few years as it gives me the platform to push on and keep getting better.

"I love it at this club. I've been a professional for three years now and it's a fantastic place to be. I've been brought up here so the club means a lot for me."
