Reading chairman John Madejski hopes the prospect of being "totally revered" will persuade midfielder Steve Sidwell to stay.Manager Steve Coppell has all but given up on the former Arsenal man, who has decided to let his current contract run out at the end of the season and knows he will not be short of offers from Premiership clubs with a more impressive top-flight pedigree than the Royals. But Madejski said: "We hope he will decide to stay at Reading because there is an enormous future here for him. But at the end of the day it is up to Steve to make his mind up. He knows he will be greatly missed if he does decide to go and totally revered if he stays."
