Fuming Ipswich manager Jim Magilton blasted his side for their performance in the 1-0 defeat at Colchester. The visitors failed to show up in the first half and the Essex side punished them early on with Karl Duguid pouncing to fire the ball home after goalkeeper Lewis Price spilled a Jamie Cureton effort after just nine minutes."We lost the game in the first 20 minutes," said Magilton. "We simply did not turn up and we could not win the ball, we were simply not good enough. There was no chance for us to play our game and a few harsh words were spoken in the dressing room at half-time. I will not tolerate a repeat performance like that."
