Newcastle have signed QPR defender Fitz Hall on loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has been drafted in as the Magpies attempt to strengthen their squad ahead of a push to win an instant return to the Barclays Premier League.
Hall's arrival comes with Steven Taylor facing up to two months on the sidelines with medial ligament damage and Jose Enrique and Danny Simpson both also injured.
Hall will fill one of three key positions being targeted by manager Chris Hughton as the transfer window draws to a close.
