Swansea manager Roberto Martinez was staying cautious after the Welsh outfit laid down their claims to a play-off place in the Coca-Cola Championship with their resounding 4-1 victory over high-flying Preston.
Despite the victory, Martinez claimed he was more concerned with getting sufficient points for safety.
"My target for the season has been 51 points and once we achieve that I can look at what else is possible," he said. "I am not interested in league tables at this moment in time."
He added: "We knew this season would be hard as we are new to this division but our pattern of play was very successful last year and we have been able to continue playing the same way this season.
"It is going to be a very exciting last few weeks through the season and we are going to try to win as many points as we can before the final run-in.
"We have set high standards and it is important that we maintain them but the squad is young and though inexperienced can only get better."
