New signing Mile Sterjovski hopes to make his Derby debut this weekend against Tottenham after finally being granted a work permit.

Australia international Sterjovski, 28, watched his new colleagues draw 1-1 with Birmingham on Saturday and, international clearance permitting, should be available to face Spurs following his move from Turkish club Genclerbirligi.

"It´s been the longest three weeks of my life and it was unfortunate my work permit had to go to appeal, but in the end we got the decision and that´s the main thing," Sterjovski told Derby´s official website.
