Derby have had no offers from Celtic for winger Kris Commons, according to Adam Pearson.

Reports on Thursday suggested new Hoops boss Tony Mowbray was set to launch a £3million bid for the Scotland international.

But Pearson, Derby's chairman of football, has told the Derby Telegraph: "We have heard nothing from Celtic and can only presume it is speculation. Kris is an important member of the team."

The 25-year-old made 45 appearances for Derby last season after moving to Pride Park from Nottingham Forest.

The Rams have also confirmed that striker Emanuel Villa has completed his move to Mexican side CDSC Cruz Azul.
