Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale insists a deal has not been struck with Birmingham for Roger Johnson as speculation mounts the Premier League new-boys are preparing to come back in for the central defender.
The midlands outfit have already seen a £5million offer rejected due to the terms of payment, however Cardiff may well accept a new bid of the same amount if more favourable terms are on the table. Blues, who have already signed defender Scott Dann while Giovanny Espinoza also looks set to be on his way, are rumoured to be putting together such a bid in the coming days.
But Ridsdale insists, for the time being at least, the 26-year-old is still in the Welsh capital, telling the South Wales Echo: "Nothing has been agreed. We said no to their offer and Roger Johnson remains a Cardiff City player."
Meanwhile, Cardiff have yet to receive any firm offers for star midfielder and captain Joe Ledley, while on-loan striker Michael Chopra is expected to sign the relevant papers next week and complete his move from Sunderland.
