Boss Billy Davies is contemplating changes for Nottingham Forest's home game against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Scot saw his side beaten for the first time in 20 Championship matches by East Midlands rivals Derby last weekend.

Nathan Tyson was left out completely at Pride Park but the forward will be restored to the squad and could even make his first league start of 2010.

It remains to be seen whether James Perch will continue at left-back or if Chris Cohen will drop back into the defence in his place.

If Cohen is used as a full-back it will free up a midfield spot with Tyson, Guy Moussi and Lewis McGugan in contention to fill it.

Forwards Dele Adebola, Garath McCleary and David McGoldrick will also be hoping for recalls.

Frank Simek will return to the Wednesday starting line-up at the City Ground.

American right-back Simek has started on the substitutes' bench in the Owls' last five matches, but Lewis Buxton is out with a hamstring injury and expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks.

Otherwise, manager Alan Irvine has no new injury or suspension problems and is not expected to make any changes to the side that started in last weekend's home win over relegation rivals Plymouth.

Luke Varney, on loan from Derby until the end of the season, fired his fifth and sixth goals of the season last Saturday and is expected to resume his partnership with Marcus Tudgay up front, while fellow striker Akpo Sodje has rejoined Charlton on loan until the end of the season.

Owls boss Irvine is bidding for his fifth win in six league matches since replacing Brian Laws last month.
