Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has described Derby's latest bid for defender Shaun Barker as "unacceptable".
The Tangerines, who have just installed Ian Holloway as manager, have turned down two approaches from Derby for the 26-year-old, including a swap deal involving Rams striker Liam Dickinson.
Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette: "We are just not interested in talking to them at all.
"We have told them that what they have offered is not acceptable and we don't want to swap any players.
"Particularly now we have a new manager, it is vitally important that we keep our better players together and players that are fundamental to where we have got and keeping us in here."
On hanging on to Barker, Oyston added: "I'm hoping so. That's out of my hands isn't it? But what is in my hands is the current situation and we've told Derby that we are not interested in their offer and we've turned it down."
