Crystal Palace captain Shaun Derry has called on the club's administrators to make a swift appointment of Neil Warnock's successor as manager.
Derry admits Warnock's departure to QPR, while not exactly a surprise, has come as a "massive blow". But with the club in the midst of a relegation battle following their 10-point penalty, the midfielder is hoping a quick replacement can be found.
"It's a massive blow for us. It's huge considering what we have tried to achieve over the past two years," said Derry. "I hope somebody comes in pretty sharpish because we have to carry on the trend that we have all season and that is by working hard for each other."
"We have 14 games left and there is still time to get ourselves to a point of safety and that is what the aim has got to be."
